As one of the founding partners of IFG, Joe is charged with expanding the IFG group of companies with responsibility for strategic planning, geographic expansion, high-level sales, service offering development, and training. He has many years’ experience providing both staffing and consulting solutions for financial and technical projects, preceded by extensive experience as a senior financial executive. Joe’s goal is to recommend solutions to clients which meet their current issues or business initiatives successfully, with areas of concentration in compliance, audit, performance management, planning and forecasting, business advisory services, tax, treasury, and functional financial systems consulting. Prior to joining IFG, Joe was with Hudson Global Resources, as VP of Financial Solutions. Prior to Hudson, Joe worked for Robert Half International in a series of progressively responsible roles, most recently as Vice President, Major Accounts. In that role, he partnered with Fortune 1000 clients to design and implement consulting and staffing solutions across multiple disciplines. Prior to joining Robert Half International, Joe was a senior level financial professional and VP of financial planning and analysis for Bell Canada Enterprises (BCE); Chief Financial Officer in the Business Services Group at Sprint Canada Inc./Call-Net Enterprises Inc. in Toronto; and a member of the executive financial leadership program at Nortel Networks in Mississauga, Ontario.
As a Managing Partner with IFG, and co-founder of the Canadian practice, Greg continues to play a major role in expanding the IFG practice through his focus on sales, marketing, mentoring and training. With over ten years experience in providing clients with human capital solutions to their business, financial, operational and/or technology initiatives; he has consistently demonstrated an ability to listen effectively to his client situations and work with them to develop realistic cost effective solutions. After graduating with his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan, Greg achieved his Chartered Accountant designation with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC). As a key member in the Audit & Assurance and Transaction Advisory groups he worked with key senior members on strategic level business development and projects throughout Canada and the USA . Following PwC, Greg moved into a Business Development role with a multi-billion dollar publicly traded consulting and staffing company where his strengths excelled and he quickly become one of the top global sales individuals within the finance and accounting contract division. Working with his current client base he is actively expanding IFG into the field of Information Technology Consulting, and has been instrumental in structuring and growing the role of Orion Ventures.
As the President and founder of Orion Ventures, Michael brings over 26 years experience as an owner/operator of a successful business consulting and staffing organization. His previous firm allowed him to become a recognized leader in multiple industries to include financial services, brokerage, pharmaceuticals, and telecommunications. He consistently demonstrated his ability to help his clients, which were national and international in scope, to meet both their business challenges and complex information technology needs. Michael’s early experience included 14 years as a senior level officer managing the integration of technology within two large financial institutions in the New York City marketplace.
As Director of Recruiting Services, Scott brings over 10 years of consulting and direct-hire staffing experience specializing in all areas of IT, Accounting and Finance, Marketing and Office Support. By using a consultative approach, Scott consistently demonstrated his ability to help his clients and candidates to reach their professional goals. In prior positions, Scott was responsible for creating and executing a business development plan to promote professionals and grow client bases for senior-level consulting services for interim and direct hire staffing solutions. Scott served in the United States Navy from 1995-98 and graduated Cum Laude from William Paterson University in 2001.
Jerry is a seasoned technology executive and consultant with more than 15 years in leadership positions. Recent engagements have included business process and technology transformation initiatives, PMO and governance implementation, and strategy and planning for outsourcing IT operations for clients in Banking Service and Leisure industries. Prior to IFG – Technology Solutions, Jerry served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Tower Group, where he positioned technology for this $1B insurance company. In addition to Financial Services, Jerry’s experience encompasses management positions in the Pharmaceutical Industry including: Director of Product Management for Corporate Clinical and Regulatory Systems at Pfizer, and Director of Information Management for Roche Global Development. Jerry is a physicist with BSc and PhD degrees from University of East Anglia in the UK, was an Associate Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington and serves on a public company board and as the administrative director of a non-profit organization.
Joe has over 30 years of sales and management experience selling, servicing and managing Financial, Retail, Insurance, and IT Services Verticals. As a leader in the IT industry, he gained recognition in the New York Business Market for his management and support to companies in response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, and was appointed General Manager for the US operations of a major Business Continuity Services business. Prior to recently joining Orion Ventures as Practice Director for Computer Operations Management, Joe served as IBM’s Global Business Development Executive with focus on National and Global Financial Institutions. His primary goal was to expand the business in support of Work Area Recovery and Managed Technology Services throughout key US financial markets, plus European, Middle-eastern and Far-eastern global markets.
Ed is a seasoned program manager and financial systems professional with more than 30 years of hands on, analytical, management and executive level experience. Recent projects have included the creation of a Business Requirements Definition (BRD) for Bank of America’s Call Center, plus the design & development of an automated banking conversion tool utilizing state-or-the-art ETL technologies. As a Practice Director in our Banking Services – Application Conversion Management, Ed brings extensive prior experience in managing over 50 successful banking system conversion efforts to include the scheduling and training of 60 bank branches on teller and new account software. Prior to Orion Ventures, Ed acquired both technical and functional experience through key management positions with Cingular/AT&T Wireless Services, Summit Bank and Carteret Savings Bank.
As a Practice Director in our Enterprise Consulting suite of services, Jack brings over 35 year’s of information technology experience encompassing technical, consulting, marketing, and managerial positions in both domestic and international based organizations. Prior to Orion Ventures, Jack served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for The Dime Savings Bank; the National Banking Manager for the international accounting and consulting firm of Coopers & Lybrand, predecessor to PwC, and; the President & General Manager of McDonnell Douglas Financial Services International where he was responsible for the development, support, and marketing of an International Banking System (IBIS) to major financial institutions located throughout the world. Jack holds an M.B.A. from the University of Utah, and a B.S. from Kenyon College. He has been published in various periodicals and has been a frequent speaker at nationally attended conferences and seminars. |
